Should I restore or migrate?
Hello,
The hard drive in my Macbook self-destructed. I wasn't worried, as I had a bootable clone on an external HD using SD, as well as a copy of my user files on another partition of the same external HD. I just got my Macbook back from the dealer and it has a brand new drive in it. Looks like they installed a fresh MacOS on it. Should I just restore from my backup? I see in some of these discussions advice was given to use the migration assistant. I'd rather restore, then everything will be as it was a week ago. What's the difference? Thanks, Gord |
