Short, simple, newbie question..
I just wondered about the following, simple scenario:
1. I do a full backup of "Macintosh HD" using "backup all files" making a bootable clone called "Backup HD" (of OS X Lion). 2. I boot from "Backup HD" afterwards to check that everything is ok. 3. Opening the finder while booted from "Backup HD", I accidentally go into the "Macintosh HD" drive. I can see the four folders there "Library", "Users", "Programs" and "System", only the folders don't have icons, since I am not currently booted from "Macintosh HD". I close finder without doing anything else. 4. Simple, newbie question: Is the above (step 3) safe to do? It may be a stupid question, but as a former, long-time Windows-user, I find myself a bit paranoid from time to time (-; Everything is working fine, and I assume that it is quite safe to browse the folders in the HD that you are not currently booted from, as long as you don't do anything. Cheers - and thanks for a great product! Esben |
