I am upgrading drive on macbook pro to sata 320. I used both sd and ccc and got same results on new drive and old backup that I use. Booting from clones I get jumpy dock, applications that won't quit and can't shut down. Its not a hardware issue nor does it seem sd or ccc because of similar result. Can you help?

Please help! Having trouble installing, and can't post thread to ask question. Have emailed as well. When I click on the application, can't get any kind of register menu as instructed. jtcates@comcast.net

I was just looking at a topic of someone's that you solved the problem for. It was having to do with SuperDuper! failing to "preserve the spotlight state" on the target volume. I was in the exact situation as him. To my knowledge, he was the only one on these forums who had that problem. I searched "failed to preserve" on the forums to get to the 2 topics. David, I tried to send an e-mail to you from the sp site. There was a problem connecting to yahoo - I have a paid account. I also couldn't register for support. There's no telephone number to call. I downloaded spocket as it was recommended by apricorn. I have one of their portable disks for my Windows machine. I wanted to, if possible, use the same hd to save files from my new imac. Possible? Please check the issue with signing up for support. How can I contact you, besides this route? Could do it from the blog, either. Thanks in advance for your help. Spocket - great looking site!

Can I use SD! to backup and sync my client files on a remote server with a local directory. This would involved connecting to the drive using ftp, checking for newer files, downloading them to update the local directory, and then logging off. Naturally this would be scheduled.
