What files are copied?
Is there a way for me to
1) see the file that is currently being copied and 2) after backup is finished to see a list of files that were copied? |

There is not, sorry.

Thanks for your reply. Is this a strange request? Carbon Copy Cloner shows what it is coping at the moment. A file list would be the logical consequence.
SuperDuper exists for quite a while. And this request has never come up before? Why not implement it? |

Because a typical copy can copy millions of files, and having a log with millions of file copy statements isn't very useful.
The "current file being copied" is, in my opinion, visual noise that I also don't think is important or useful in most situations. I do have an idea that would show a filename when it's taking an especially long time to copy a specific file, but that's significantly different than showing every one - which I don't want to do.

Thanks for elaborating on this. I now better understand your thought process behind this. For me personally, for me weekly backup, I like to watch the files being copied (yes, I do work besides that...) and see, which files have been touched in the last 7 days.
But that's just me. |

Understood. I've considered some kind of "simulation" copy for a Smart Update that would kind of give that, but we're really trying to "save" people from having to worry about the files that are changing by doing it right in the first place.
