scheduled backups
Do I understand correctly that scheduled backups won't run if the Mac is asleep? Also, it seems that if a scheduled backup is missed it won't be done when the Mac does wake. Is this true?
If so, how about a feature request. Do any schedule backups that were missed (because the Mac was either off or sleeping) and/or have S/D wake the mac at the scheduled time (if S/D can turn on, not just wake, the mac for scheduled backups that would be better still). TIA, eric |

Have you reviewed the Scheduling section of the User's Guide, Eric? You need to set a wake event, using the Energy Saver preference pane, for one minute before the scheduled copy time for it to run w/sleep.

My recollection is fuzzy and may be off, but I thought one time S/D did try to perform scheduled backup after the fact (backup wasn't done on time for some unknown reason). |
