Mac Mini Server, for music server

I just got the new mac mini server for my music system...thinking that one 500g drive is used....and then the second built in 500g hard drive could be made to serve as a complete back up....to duplicate the main drive and give me a perfect/immediate system/music file to back up...
Can I do this?
Exactly how would I do this?

regards, John
