Restore from network image?
I've got a network image of my son's laptop on a NAS drive, IanLaptop.sparseimage and his hard drive just packed up.
[Hooray for SuperDuper!!!!] What's my best bet for putting his machine back together once I get a new drive? Install OSX, install SuperDuper, and restore from the network image? Put the new drive into an external housing and <something>? I found "boot from OSX CD-Rom, open SparseImage, restore" on pp27-28 of the SuperSuper pdf manual, but that also requires copying the sparseimage to a firewire or USB drive, yes? Can the CD-Rom see network drives? Thanks! Last edited by wpns; 06-04-2008 at 08:58 PM. Reason: Did some more research |
