Mounting too slow for SD
I recently upgraded to Lion. Backing up a couple of drives to sparseimages (is that the right word?) on a Drobo which contains other stuff too.
Before the upgrade, the computer started up, did its backups then shut down again. All fine. Now under Lion, by the time it's started up, mounted the Drobo, then mounted the backup images, SD has timed out. Which means that if I leave the computer running, especially with the images mounted, everything is fine. But the whole point of a timed backup is that I don't have to leave the computer on. Any suggestions on how to improve this situation? AllyPally MacPro 2 x 2.66 DualCore Xeon, 4 GB memory, OS 10.7.3 |
