Repair permissions -- any need with Yosemite?

I seem to recall that repairing permissions is no longer useful when doing backups with the current versions of OS X, but thought I'd ask to be sure. Currently running 10.10.4

Thanks!
Steve

It's always something that's only generally useful when you 're having actual errors, Steve.
