new user for superDuper, pls help !
I have a imac with 250GB hard disk ( show 230mb )
I am going to partition it to >>> main mac system 130GB ( all mac system+ application ) and 100GB for data storage. ( doc + files ) then I can use superdiper and mirror the main system to my firewire 150gb external harddisk. after that, I can bootup my mac by external harddisk if there is any issue..... after boot by external harddisk, all setup, program can run and everything is same and I can access the 100GB data storage. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> pls tell me that this is OK and thanks |

The steps are in the User's Guide, Peter -- the first few sections. I strongly discourage you from partitioning the source drive...

Ok, so I can use superduper >>>
backup - all files and mirror all the 100GB file of 230GB imac to 150 GB firewire external hard drive. ( no need to partition ) thanks |

Yes. You do need to make sure you're properly partitioned for the Mac, though... you should use the "GUID" partition scheme, even for ONE partition.
