Catalina, SuperDuper and Time Machine side by side

Hi Nathan,

I just read your blog post about the challenges of making SD work with Catalina.

In the post you describe that the target will need to be converted to APFS.

Does that mean TM and SD backups will no longer be able to co-exist on a single volume?

Right now I have one physical disk that has a single filevault encrypted HFS+ partition that holds both TM and SD backups.

It sounds like there's going to be some challenges. I haven't updated to Catalina yet and planning to wait for your final release before doing so.

Can you please address the issue of having TM and SD backups on the same volume? It sounds like this is going not be possible with Catalina. Will SD watch out for this type of situation?
