unmountable boot volume/win xp...
hi... i am interested in purchasing SuperDuper, but want to make sure it will do what i need, first.
i have a macbook running parallels VM with WinXP. yesterday i had a problem booting into XP (BSOD/reboot loop with an error message : unmountable_boot_volume) and i'm still not able to get in. i have tried to use a few fixes, but to no avail. currently i am running another fix, but it's been running for hours and i'm not sure that is going to work either. my main concern is my data on the VM hdd. i want to know if i were to use SD would i be able to few my files on a ext. HDD, or would i have to open the clone in another VM on another machine? also, would I have the same boot issues i am having now when i try to access the files? i basically just want to know if i will be able to access individual files from the ext. HDD. thanks in advance. |

You can certainly access individual files, but your VM is likely in one big image file, and that's what'll be on the destination...
