Spotlight State Problem
I am backing up my Macbooks HD nightly using a Smart BU. When I initially created the partition on my WD 250 GB USB drive, I added it to the privacy tab on Spotlight.
The problem is, the drive will disappear from Spotlight, and if I try to add it in again, by dragging it or any other means, it cannot be done. If I erase the partition, and add it back to the privacy tab I can do it, but the problem will happen again after a few backups. I've even tried letting Super Duper disable_spotlight script after the backup, but that does not help either. I have two external USB drives, and use one to backup the other with Superduper, without a problem. It only happens on my Mac's drive. Any ideas? Joe
