Partial Boot, Then Hang
I'm testing out SuperDuper and I am seriously impressed. There're just two problems (I'll start new new thread for the second one):
I did a complete backup to an external FireWire drive, and when I tried to boot form the external, it would start just fine. But when it gets to the finder I get a blue screen and a mouse pointer that work, and nothing else. I have used the external to boot before, so that's not it. I tried backing up with SuperDuper with the Fix Permissions both checked and unchecked. Any ideas? |

Hi, Wilder13.
I'd suggest renaming the backup drive to the same thing as the boot drive (e.g. "Macintosh HD" for both). Then, update the backup with Smart Update, and try booting again. It's possible that some application you're running is unhappy with the fact that the drive is named something different...
