The scheduled copies window will show whether the copy ran, and if there was an error we'd leave the window up and open (with a red line).
Also, if SD is already running when a scheduled copy is ready to run, it won't quit when it's done, so that's another way to see what's going on. Finally, the name of the log gives the date and time of the copy, so take a peek at the top of the window to get the date. Does that help?
