No, that shouldn't matter at all. 10.5.2 should be the same between the two... but what I'd suggest, as a "first cut" is that you use the Leopard discs that came with the new MacBook to archive-and-install over what you've got, to make sure that the builds of the OS that's on there supports this particular MacBook.
