Backing Up Media Using Super Duper (Labeling Drives with the Same Names?)
Hi Gang
I'm backing up Media for FCP I just wanted to make sure about copying files and labeling the name of a Back Up Drive. I was under the impression that it was a good idea to actually name the back up drive with the same name as the source drive? Or not? I know you have to be real careful when using Super Duper, choosing the correct options, to avoid accidentally erasing the source drive files etc... Thanx Mike |

No need to do that, no; it's only significant when starting up from a boot drive when the original drive is still attached.

'No need to do that, no"
No need to do what? Should I then AVOID naming a back up drive with the same name as the source drive? |

No, you don't have to AVOID it. But there's no need to do it for a drive that's not intended to be a startup drive, and this isn't.
