How about a Genius Update option

The smart update feature is nice but it could be smarter at times.

I don't know the order SD scans the source drive for changes but sometimes the backup fails because of insufficient space on the target because the new files were added before SD got around to deleting the files no longer needed.

It would be nice if there was a Genius Update (as an option) whereby it would scan the source drive and build a list of all the changes and check the Target drive to determine if potentially not enough disk space in which case it would perform the deletes first.

if you retain the results from the directory scans in memory I wouldn't think it would be any slower (and may even be faster if heads don't have to bounce back and forth to the directory...assuming it does do that).

Without this option sometimes the user has to manually start tracking down large files on the Target drive to free up enough room so the Smart (?) copy can finish.
