Question Back up/cloning within two partitions...

I have an 8500/sonnetized with a G4 processor running TIGER courtesy of XPOSTfacto.

There are two internal hard drives :

the original 2 GB drive and a 40 GB which is partitioned into 2 equal parts ( 20 GB each partition ).

The 40 GB internal drive has Tiger on each partition.

Would SD be able to clone a bootable backup from the first Partition to the second Partition ?

( I do not want to clone the Original 2 GB drive just yet. )
