Backup to NAS crashes Thecus N3200

I am trying to backup my MacBook, latest Leopard updated using the most recent version of SuperDuper (Sparseimage). After a view minutes the backup stops and the NAS needs a hard reset. I have no problem to copy and paste gigabytes of data between the MacBook and the NAS.

Any suggestions?
