Recommended Back-up Drive Size

I was curious what size back-up drive, relative to the computer's drive size, I should use. I plan on maintaining a SD image of my computer's hard drive; a Sandbox; and my TimeMachine files on this back-up drive.

Well, Time Machine wants as much space as possible. So: really big.
