Dave, so to be clear, the first time I boot up her new laptop, I'm assuming I should have nothing connected, just launch, do any updates to get to the most current version of High Sierra, get connected to wifi, etc... Then once that's all in place, reboot when her new laptop is connected via USB to the external backup? And then do what?
or should I be connected via USB to the external backup on the initial launch of the new laptop and when it asks if we want to bring over data files and settings, point to that image file? |
