LaCie mobile FW/USB does not mount

I'm using a LaCie mobile Porsche drive for complete backups with SD.
System is MacBook Pro 10.4.10, drive is connected with FW.
After backing up, unplugging and replugging with FW, the drive does not show in Finder or DiskUtility.
I have to plug it via USB, repair permissions and than it is also mounting with FW again.
That's what DU is repairing:
