Persistent failure to copy

Hello,

I'm trying to upgrade my internal hardrive on my Powerbook G4. I've got a new drive in an external enclosure connected via firewire.

Every time I try to clone my old drive onto the new one, the copy fails. I've been deleting the files it failed at. However, I keep running into more. I'm beginning to feel their'll be nothing left at this rate. I thought I could get some advice before I continue deleting with reckless abandon. Below is the log from the most recent failure which occured at about 8.5 gig (the old drive is 60 gig).
