copy coking on a file?

Oops Subject should be "Choking"

Our server has crashed a couple of times and now when I attempt to copy the system disk the copy chokes about 300 files into the effort and just stalls. The log isnt overly helpful but here it is. Also when repairing permission i get the following errors which never get repaired
ACL found but not expected on "Applications".
ACL found but not expected on "Library".

Any ideas?

How is "Server HD_bak" formatted? Why aren't you backing up to it directly?

choking backing up

Hi. The backup drive is is formatted GUID but was working fine before the server crashes. It is on a different drive because it is not much of a backup if the server drive fails. cheers

That's not what I mean: I'm wondering why you're using an image *file* rather than backing up directly to "Server HD_bak".

dnanian - I have done both as I figured would be easier to move the disk image. Im a bit nervous to update the actual copy in case it fails then wont have any back up.

So... you've placed this image on the same volume as your backup copy (which worked)?
