Clarity re creating password protection

Hi Dave,

May I humbly suggest maybe re-writing this step to make it even clearer for us two-year-olds?

In the FAQ you cite, you say:

"6. Decide whether or not you want the image encrypted, and choose the proper value in the Encryption pop-up."

Something that actually mentions "password" would have been more helpful to me, something like:

"6. If you want the image to be password protected, select a value in the Encryption pop-up."

The reason for my suggestion is that I think some of us see "encryption" and we think, No, I don't want my data encrypted, I just want it password protected. So we proceed without "encryption," thinking the opportunity to select a password will come later. Adding the word "password" into that step somewhere would give us a better clue.

I still don't have a clue about the "value" for the encryption, but if the first half of the sentence tells me to go for it, to get to a field for entering a password, that's fine. I don't need a clue about the "value" selection since there is only one choice.

It's been a while since I created a sparse image, so I looked up the recipe here and kinda stumbled at this point. Not that you weren't correct, of course, but some of us just need a lot of hand holding (which you are great at, thank you very much).

This is just for what it's worth, no reply required. By the way, the several people I've introduced to SuperDuper still thank me from time to time. We all love it.

Larry
