Hi Dave,

thanks for your reply.

I have since dropped the dualboot idea (since I use Parallels anyways) and installed 10.5.8. I have an internal 1.5 TB drive and a USB connected 1.5 TB drive. Both drives are partitioned identically (500 GB System, about 900 GB data remainder). Backup with SD! worked fine.

I cannot restore though. If I select the 500 GB System backup partition as source, the 500 GB System partition is grayed out. I therefor cannot select the job type either.

Perhaps SD! cannot restore drives with multiple partitions?
