Backup a disk attached to an Airport Extreme

I have an airport extreme with two 1T disks attached to it.

My idea was to keep my work archive on one of the disks, and then automatically keep the other disk as a duplicate of it using SuperDuper smart update. The only problem is that neither of the disks are displayed in the Superduper dropdowns. Any idea why not? Can superduper do this this kind thing with AFP/AppleShare disks?

Airport Extreme allows you to give the option to password protect disks. As we are on a shared network, that is what I have done. Is that what is causing the problem? I assumed that since the disks appear on my desktop then they are available to everything in the system.

Thanks for any advice.

Sorry, no: we cannot copy from or directly to (w/o using an image) network drives.
