Download time

Here's the copy time for my G5 iMac (did not repair permissions)

Disk size 232.76 gb/ used 43.9 gb
size of partition 60 gb
LaCie d2 firewire 160 gb

Smart Update
Files evaluated 193,858
Copied - 560
avg speed 220
time 3:24

Best time I've seen with this app. Seems whatever was creating long copy times in the previous version have been fixed!

I'll post back with my iBook times.

Curious: what is the read speed when a file is being copied? Does it vary based on file type? Also, other than copying files, is there any other factor slowing the read speed from Firewire's optimum?
