Question Just locks solid

Hi
Using the latest SD and OS X.4.8 , SD goes through its backup, and then it just locks up, and the hard drive light stays on constantly too, i have zeros the drive in question, and the drive in question operates with any other application just fine, and i can manually drag and drop large folders to it to back up with no problem.

Its just when SD does the back up, then it locks up, Any ideas?

NOTE: telling SD to back up is fine, and causes NO problems, its only when SD backsup on its Schedule, after it has done that, then it locks up

SD! can't cause drives to lock up like this unless there's something wrong with the drive or the system, Adrian. If you send me a System Profiler report (use the support email address), though, I'll try to see if I can find a cause for you.

Thanks for sending the report. It's pretty clear from your various panics and the like that your Intego stuff is causing some trouble:

Code:
         0x00291050 0x00282950 0x0027E4E8 0x0027E224 0x002AAF98 0x000ABF30 0x00000000
      Kernel loadable modules in backtrace (with dependencies):
         com.intego.iokit.ContentBarrierX4Service(10.4)@0x39e53000
            dependency: com.apple.iokit.IONetworkingFamily(1.5.0)@0x8a4000
Proceeding back via exception chain:
   Exception state (sv=0x2A0FE500)
      PC=0x90014ACC; MSR=0x0000F030; DAR=0x02B1A000; DSISR=0x42000000; LR=0x90F977E4; R1=0xF0486DB0; XCP=0x00000030 (0xC00 - System call)
On top of that, your system log is showing a lot of problems with USB devices (you have quite a few, and someone isn't behaving properly.

Code:
Mar  9 19:52:06 AdrianMoore kernel[0]: USBF:	38058.320	AppleUSBEHCI[0x1bc3800]::UIMCheckForTimeouts - Async USBCMD and USBSTS not synched ON (#12)
(Every few minutes you get this.)

Finally, if you have any AntiVirus, it's likely that it's causing some trouble if you haven't turned it off or excluded the backup drive from scanning.

Does that help?

Thanks for that.
It could be my usb bluetooth dongle, as that can play up sometimes.

I may have to face up to the fact that i am heading towards a format and reinstall at some point then!

Thanks for all your help :-)

I think disabling the Intego stuff will get you going... hopefully.
