G5 SDcopy error 10.4.8 server
Our SD backups failed today due to a SDCopy malloc error (sorry I'm not at the server just now so can't give the log file). Anyway, we eventually had to turn off the copy ACL option and that allowed the backup to work.
Is this a known problem with Server 10.4.8 on PPC? (and 2.1.3 SD). I can't search for ACL in this forum because it is too short Many thanks. |

Yes. The ACL copy call we're using seems to be buggy and will crash like that in some situations. Turning off ACL copying until Apple fixes the problem is the only current solution we have.
