I have my drives set up with bootable partitions along with other partitions I use for storage and Time Machine drives.
Just format the entire drive for the type of Mac you have... GUID for Intel Apple Partition Map for PPC You can't have a bootable for both types of machines on the same drive though. If you have a mix of machines, then you will have to choose which type you want to have as a bootable drive, either GUID or Apple Partition Map. You also won't be able to have a Dos formatted partition since as I said above, the entire drive needs to be formatted into one of the two listed above. Disc Utility does not provide for multiple formats within the partition map. Last edited by Goldengoose7; 06-08-2009 at 02:46 PM.
