Thank you for your suggestion. It worked perfectly. I documented the procedure step by step in case anyone is interested. There were a few apps to update from the App Store and DropBox login to verify and a Firmware update but all in all it took less than 45 minutes.
When a MacBook Air died recently, buying a replacement and restoring from a Time Capsule backup over a wireless link and getting my data back took a day and half so doing this once a week as a safe guard is nothing. Thanks again ... Bill |
