Question Moving to a new Mac with programs I want to keep

I am a new SD user. I have sold my old MAC (iMac G4) and I have a complete copy of the HD on an external HD. I am moving to a Mac (iMac G5) with a number of programs (no program discs) which I want to keep. I want to add the programs and files from my old Mac to the new Mac. Both Mac's run Tiger. How should I go about this? Thanks, Dave

Use the Migration Assistant on the new Mac to migrate the user files, applications and settings from your backup to the new computer: should work fine!
