All I've tried is re-trying the backup. Restarting the computer, etc. I did format the harddrive prior to starting, in guid mac etended journal format (I know I butchered that, but I followed the instructions).
I have not tried a different backup drive. Unfortunately, I'm doing a temporary military assignment and don't have access to my usual arsenal of tech gadgets, so I'm stuck with this portable seagate that I borrowed from a friend. Would you suggest trying a different drive? Does it sound like the drive is the problem? I tried again after posting that last log, and I did not get a drive error, but I did get another i/o error like the previous ones, this time on a different file. Thanks. |
