Transferring SD to another external

When i bought Leopard i did a clean install and left my Tiger SD on the first external. Now i want to use SD to back up leopard without losing that first SD. I have a second external, but when i try and transfer it using just finder it doesn't work. Then i also tried to use Disk utility, but it then says that the operation is not supported and aborts it. Is there anyway to transfer all the information, it doesn't necessarily have to be bootable though?
