Copy slowed down
When SD began copying, I noticed that the copy speed was a little over 8 MB/s; it now has slowed to 1.84 MB/s.
What has caused the copy slow down? Can the copy speed be increased? If so, how? Thanks for your help and suggestions. Retired |

Well, it depends entirely on the drive, files, interface, other applications, etc. Running any AntiVirus? Have you added the destination drive into the spotlight preference pane "Privacy" tab?

I'd add it - it certainly will do less I/O to the drive, and in most cases you don't want to spotlight search the backup.

Thanks for the info - I have placed the destination drive in the Privacy tab of the Spotlight Preference pane.
I appreciate your help. Retired |
