Ignoring File Extensions

Because I don't want SuperDuper to backup my downloaded movies, I put an: 'ignore *.avi' in my backup script.

What am I doing wrong? I included my full script.

Kind regards,

Koen

The file specification is "path-specific" -- that is, *.avi will only ignore folders at the top of the drive.

So, if you want to ignore movies in a specific location, you need to specify the path -- e.g. Users/koen/Movies/*.avi.

Ok, so I guess it's not possible to exclude files by extension at this moment? Can I make a feature request out of that?

Koen

Sure, if you'd like. You can exclude by extension, though -- just not "globally". (It's not generally a good idea, either, because there could be avis in application packages, etc...)
