Sorry, I misread the "480mb/s" as FW400, for some reason - sorry about that.
It's hard to believe that drive would be half the price of the LaCie d2 Quadra, which is very reasonably priced. I don't know of any drive that wouldn't generally support both Mac and PC. But some less expensive drives use lesser quality bridges...
