MAYDAY! Where are keychains backed up to?
I've just inadvertently deleted my OSX 10.4 Server system keychains, but that's OK, I have several SuperDuper! backups... I think....
The files I need to restore are in: /System/Library/Keychains/ and are something along the lines of: SystemRootCertificates.keychain SystemCACertificates.keychain but none of my backups have anything but a couple of X509... files. Where are my keychains backed up to? Apple sez I have to rebuild from scratch, please tell me I don't! HELP! [I'd send you an Email, but my server's down...] |

They should certainly be there if they were there when you originally backed up. But if they'd already been deleted, they won't...

Curiouser and Curiouser
OK, I booted off the nightly backup (SystemBackup) and it works, so the missing keychains aren't where Apple told me they were or something.
I'm using SuperDuper to copy SystemBackup to SysteMirror (my Raid Mirror), and then I'll reboot from that and see how things are. Scary, scary, wish me luck! I'll let you know... |
