Sorry for being thick
 When you say source drive, is that not the backed up version I have. Just to make it simpe, I have a backup I took which is not sitting on my external HD and is called NBH Imac. I am trying to restore it to the imac internal HD, which is now blank. So the only place I can see to reset the isync is on my external backup.
