Can't Access Preferences Pane

I just found NetTunes and it looks like the perfect application for us. I d/l'ed the demo, but got an error when I tried to set up the server. The error message says:

"You cannot open netTunes preferences pane on this computer. Contact the developer of this software for a newer version."

I've tried launching the Preference Pane from the System Preferences several times, all with the same result.

I'm using a MacBook Pro on OS X 10.4.5.

Any thoughts on how to resolve this?

Thanks.

The problem here is that netTunes is not yet Universal, and since it has a Preference Pane it won't run on the MacBook Pro. I'm nearly done with the Universal version, so expect it soon.

Thanks, Brad. There doesn't seem to be anything unanswered at this point -- and I hate jumping into conversations outside SP's site, mostly because I look like I'm shilling. I'm more than happy to answer any other questions you might have, though -- and you're welcome to repost my responses up there.

Cool! I just got a Core Duo MacMini to be a headless iTunes server and netTunes seems like a much better solution then using VNC as I had originally planned.

Please keep us posted on when the Universal Binary will be out!

Ted

Do you have an ETA for the Univeral Binary? I'm not trying to be a pain, but, I've been checking this site a couple of times a day for the past couple of weeks, hoping to see an update... Your software is key to my setup (and, making my wife happy and justifying the new Mac Mini).

Thanks.

I don't have a specific date, dbfreq: recent publicity for SuperDuper! has made it difficult to get the time to release the next netTunes, which doesn't mean I'm not trying. But I've been overwhelmed recently with questions and support.

As soon as I get some time to finish it up, I'll do so... sorry for the delay.
