automatically start SD when disk is mounted?

I thought i had seen the following questio before on this forum, but i seem to be unable to find it ...

Is there a way to start SD automatically when i lpug in my external lacie firewire disk, or, in other words, when the OS mounts the disk?

This would be just a convenience, but still ...

Regards,
Gabriel.
