Can you clone Leopard running in a VM and then restore that to a physical machine?

I am sorry if this has been asked before, but I was wondering about something after loading Leopard Server in VMWare Fusion this weekend. Would it be possible to run SD inside the VM and clone the computer and then restore that clone to an actual physical machine?

I hope this make sense and we can talk in the realm of just 10.5 and not server because that brings on many complications by itself.

I really don't know. You can certainly try.
