xserve OS drive backup/duplication
Had a look through the forums and almost have the gist of things, but wasn't 100% sure. I simply want to take the 80GB ADM OS drive I have running on an xserve, pop in a second blank 80GB ADM and do a straight copy.
I can turn off any of the services on the machine, no problem.. i just have an issue with booting off of a CD or something of the sort since i need the IP to stay intact. Is it as easy as copy from A to B while the OS is running, no problem? Do I have to turn off any processes to insure i don't get any corruption? MUCH thanks! |
