Leopard to Snow Leopard?
I have a full backup of my iMac running 10.5.7. I just bought a new Macbook Pro and would like to copy the contents of the iMac onto the MBP (which is running 10.6.3) using the migration assistant I suppose. Would this pose a problem?

No, that's what I recommend (see the Frequently Asked Questions section of the SuperDuper! forum).

I read that but I wasn't clear. I thought it was only talking about the same OS (10.5.x to 10.5.x) as opposed to 10.5.x to 10.6.x Thank you for the reply!

Same deal. Migration (at first boot, not after) should be fine.

I'd generally recommend clean installing to get back to the first-prompt state, then migrating when prompted.

Great, it seems like it worked well. Thank you!
