Invalid argument when backing up to sparse image on NAS drive

I am using SuperDuper to backup an external drive to a spare image on a NAS drive

I have received this error message.

| 06:30:22 AM | Info | WARNING: Caught I/O exception(5): Input/output error
| 06:30:22 AM | Info | WARNING: Source: /Volumes/Kuska 250 HD/3. Completed movies/2006 movies (finished)/2006-12-FF Carla at Opera.dv, lstat(): 0
| 06:30:22 AM | Info | WARNING: Target: /Volumes/kuska backup NAS/3. Completed movies/2006 movies (finished)/2006-12-FF Carla at Opera.dv, lstat(): 0
| 06:30:22 AM | Info | Attempting to copy file using copyfile().
| 06:30:22 AM | Info | Attempting to copy file using ditto.
| 06:30:22 AM | Error | ditto: /Volumes/kuska backup NAS/3. Completed movies/2006 movies (finished)/.BC.3aRaP9: Invalid argument

This is a bit strange because I have been able to backup the drive previously and have not made any changes to the file at issue.

Can you advise if the problem is with the source drive, and if so what might be the problem and how to remedy please?

Send a message via AIM to dnanian
That looks like your backup drive failed mid-copy: perhaps a network failure?
