Backup 2 Internal Drives to 1 External?
I'm not sure if what I want to do can be done. I have 2 internal drives, the Main HD which holds the OS and all programs, and then a drive called Pix that just holds files.
I want to backup both the Main HD and the files on the 2nd drive to an external drive. Do I have to partition the external drive to do that? I tried making a copy script that backed up Main HD and then added /Volume/Pix, and it appeared to back it up, but when I looked on the external drive I couldn't find the Pix files. Thanks for your help! |

Yes, you need to partition the drive into two volumes, in this case, and back up each source volume to its corresponding destination.

Thanks! I thought that was the case...
