OK... I was partitioned incorrectly.

I found a nifty utility called iPartition. Once I bought it (~$45), I was able to create a bootable DVD which allowed me to run iPartition on my internal volume.

I was able to convert the partition scheme to GUID. I was able to write an MBR.

I am still unable to run the Boot Camp or EFI firmware utility.
