I can't overemphasize too much the advice to back up the "main" drive before "cloning back" to it from a safety clone. I once got things mixed up and "cloned back" with the settings set to "make a safety clone." I completely hosed my main drive. Because I had a recent backup of my main drive, I recovered nicely in a couple of hours after swearing under my breath at my carelessness and restoring from my backup. If I hadn't had a backup of the main drive, it would have been a major disaster.
